Image for my poster - final draft

I decided to merge the other sides of their face together, to prevent the image from looking 'odd' and like a monster! I showed both of the images to a focus group of my target audience and all of them said they preffered this one. I did try to make both of the images the same contrast of black and white but it was very difficult because on one of the images I used the flash and on the other I didn't. If I had had more time I would go back and take the images again both with or without the flash however, I cant do this because the actors are busy doing their own coursework now!

Poster - first draft

Here is my first draft of my Love Drug poster. I conducted some primary research in asking a number of my target audience if they thought I should stick with the same font used on the website etc. for the poster and everyone I asked said yes because it will keep the link between the different media's. From this, I also decided to keep the same colour scheme; red, black and white, for the same reason. This is another reason why I wanted my image in black and white, to go with the colour scheme! From my secondary research (looking at existing romance film posters) i found that the minimal text was used and every single poster had small print and the production company logo at the bottom of the page. I also found it is important to put the actors names who are starring in the film because this will draw the audience into watching the film if they recognise the actors. However there are some changes that need to be made to this poster. I asked some members from my target audience what they thought of my poster and the majority said the small print text needs to be changed because it doesn't look like the text that is normally used for posters. this means i will need to look on the internet at downloading the proper font as word doesn't have it. As i've mentioned before, the image also needs changing because the way i have blended the two faces together makes the image look strange!

Poster image - first draft

Here is my first idea for the image on the poster. I wanted to use half of their faces to suggest there is another side to their personalities that we are yet to find out in the film. This will make the audience want to watch the film to find out the other side to the characters. I edited the two pictures on 'Photoshop' by using the crop tool to crop the pictures in half then i used the blur tool to blur the line so it looks like one image. However, looking at this image, i have decided i don't like it because the way i have blended the two halves of their faces, it looks a bit like a monster! Although i still want to carry on with making the poster using this image to see what it looks like but i will probably change my idea!

Images for my poster

These are the two images i took for my poster. I decided to edit them to make them both black and white because it will make the text on my poster stand out to the audience. If i didn't have my images in black and white then i think the poster would look too crowded with colours and too busy. The idea i have is to bled half of each face together and it wouldn't look right if they were in colour because they wouldn't look like 1 image. I also chose to have them looking directly into the camera (direct mode of address) to draw he audience's attention into the poster.

Website completed

My website is now completed and i am very happy with how it works and looks! After lots of re drafts and changing thing about to fit with what my target audience want, i am certain that it will be a successful website because i have done lots of socondary research into romance genre websites and have follwed these conventions. However i felt it was important to occasionally develop and challenge these conventions to make my website stand out and diffrerent from other romance websites this way the audience will be more attracted to the webiste and intrested in the different things. Throughout the making of my website, i have continuously shown thepages to my target audience and focus groups and class mates to get their feedback on what they think of it. I have done this untill everyone (including me) is pleased with how it works and looks. This is how i know it will be a successful site.

Print screens of my website

I decided to print screen some of my pages before i changed them, and after. This shows that i have evaluated and changed what i didn't like about my website. I am now pleased with how my website looks and i think it suits the genre of our film and it draws the audience into wanting to watch the film to find out more.

Final Teaser Trailer!

We created a Youtube account so that we can put our video onto Youtube to gain more audience feedback and so our target audience can access it. Putting the video onto Youtube will also enable the group to upload the it onto our blogs and onto our websites again, so our target audience can easily access it. I think that Youtube is the best website for the group to upload the video too as Youtube is the most popular video sharing site and everyone has heard about it! This could mean that we have a greater audience to our teaser trailer because Youtube has so many potential consumers that have the opportunity to watch our teaser trailer.
